The Auburn Home, located in Gurugram, a bustling metropolitan landscape, provides a peaceful getaway from the city’s busy life. Somya Malhotra of Sage Haus designed this 4,000-square-foot, two-bedroom residence. The house is thoughtfully built to combine modern aesthetics and utility, resulting in a comfortable, serene ambience with every element that is adapted to the family’s needs and reflects the family.
The huge flat is well-ventilated, full of natural light, and has breathtaking views of the metropolitan skyline. The design emphasises simplicity, clean lines, basic aesthetics, and a soothing colour palette. These pieces come together to create a welcoming atmosphere that is both stylish and comfortable.
The master bedroom is a beautiful mélange of boldness and grace. The honey oak flooring offers warmth, while black-stained veneer provides depth and style. Soft chenille fabrics and light furnishings counterbalance the stark contrasts, while concealed doors and glass pocket partitions enhance functionality and provide a sense of space.
The second bedroom honours individuality with a gentle, light colour scheme and teak wood flooring. The Graham and Brown custom hand-painted wallpaper adds elegance and texture, and the abstract shelving niches fuse visual appeal and functionality. Tailored furnishings elevate the concept, creating a timeless home that changes with the occupants’ preferences.
The common spaces are intended for connection and to create a feeling of openness. The dining area, which was expanded by eliminating a wall, is anchored by a stunning white onyx dining table.
