From the design’s inception, the primary focus was clear: to celebrate the breathtaking view and the captivating art pieces that adorn the space. The interior designed by Studio RODA serves as a canvas, allowing the artworks to take centre stage amidst a backdrop of understated sophistication.

One of the initial challenges was seamlessly merging two adjacent apartments to create a cohesive living space. The larger unit, spanning 2200 square feet, hosts the public and entertaining areas, while the smaller unit houses the main bedroom suite and a versatile home office library, ensuring both functionality and fluidity in the layout. Orienting the apartment towards the panoramic vista of Biscayne Bay enhances the allure of the space, offering a sweeping view of Miami’s skyline.

Passionate about contemporary art, the clients have curated a diverse collection, constantly seeking emerging talents to enrich their portfolios. To accentuate the artwork, the design ethos embraces quiet elegance with a palette of warm monochromatic tones and subtle architectural details. The furniture, carefully selected for its clean lines, complements the rectilinear language of the floor plan, creating a harmonious interplay between form and function.

In the living room, two Reid sofas in warm white fabric and a Rua Ipanema lounge chair in a mid-tone grey boucle form a stylish ensemble, anchored by a silk area rug in a soothing shade of greyish off-white. During renovation, a water stack unexpectedly emerged in the space, presenting a unique design challenge. Leveraging creativity, the team transformed this obstacle into an artistic feature, encasing it in mirror-polished stainless steel to blend seamlessly with the surroundings.

Collaborating with Interius, the kitchen embodies modern luxury with cabinetry finished in matte Champagne Metal Lacquer, perfectly complementing the off-white walls. The Lumix quartzite countertop and backsplash add a touch of luxury, reflecting the changing tones of natural light throughout the day. In this tranquil haven, art and design converge to create a timeless sanctuary where every detail is meticulously curated, inviting you to immerse yourself in a world of serene beauty and artistic inspiration.
