Nestled in the heart of Mumbai, this home is a colourful tribute to the vibrancy of a fun-loving couple in their early thirties. Purple Backyard created a masterpiece that combines the couple’s personalities with ASMR-inspired design philosophy, merging elegant aesthetics with organic charm.
The home, often referred to as Frenchie Haus, was inspired by their affection for their two French bulldogs. Design decisions were carefully considered to accommodate their furry companions, offering a distinct and personal touch. The two-bedroom home spans 1650 square feet and features a large kitchen, a multipurpose den, and integrated storage solutions that balance functionality and flair.
The living room, the home’s focal point, embodies the couple’s creative vitality. Anchored by a Morse code-inspired wall that encodes milestone dates and names, the space effortlessly connects all zones. Eye-catching seats, such as the Loop and Link’s dynamic piece and a delicate Cactus print chair, reflect the couple’s synergy. A stylish black-and-white den and a magnificent powder room with exotic green wallpaper provide vibrancy and character.
The master bedroom is a luxurious retreat with dramatic ceiling wallpaper and a lilac-hued walk-in closet. The adjacent bathroom, designed with Panda marble and KitKat tiles, exudes richness and craftsmanship. The kitchen is vibrantly coloured, with cool blues and greens displayed in a dramatic, colour-blocked pattern. It is functional and visually appealing, reflecting the couple’s bright personalities.
In the guest room, subtle elegance takes centre stage. Peach Fuzz-coloured accessories and wooden floors flow into a marble-adorned bathroom, which provides cosy warmth. A deck of the size of Mumbai adds charm with its distinct bar, pull-out table, and acrylic planters. It encourages gatherings while capturing the home’s earthy and lively personality.
