IDG’s Innovative Design Studio (IDS), known for creating remarkable lighting that transforms places, proudly introduces the Bellatrix by Catellani & Smith, a breathtaking work of art inspired by one of the brightest stars in the Orion constellation.
The Bellatrix hanging lamp is a wonderful blend of handcrafted craftsmanship and modern design. It features an outstanding 120-centimetre aluminium disc with an uneven surface that is delicately covered with gold-coloured leaf, radiating elegance. The disc is available in two styles: hand-drawn radial lines and dynamic centrifugal curves.
Nine integrated LED boards are discretely positioned along a slim 10 mm brass rod, which is secured by a flexible brass stem and allows for changing lighting direction. The interaction of light and the rough golden surface produces a warm, indirect glow, a hallmark of Catellani & Smith’s dazzling creativity.
Bellatrix is designed to mesmerise and makes a powerful statement in any situation. Its vast scale and golden glow make it ideal for sumptuous living rooms, opulent bedrooms, or stunning entryways, while the ambient lighting creates a tranquil, intimate mood.
