The 17 Degrees North Club by Designers Group combines ancient Hyderabadi aesthetics with modern design, resulting in luxury vacation.

Located in the lively metropolis of Hyderabad, the 17 Degrees North Club is a magnificent getaway that combines ancient Hyderabadi aesthetics with contemporary design. Inspired by the city’s rich history, the project aims to elevate its legacy while incorporating a touch of modern fusion. The decor is inspired by the grandeur of the Nizams, with tones of yellow and gold, elaborate wall designs, and hanging lights from the ceilings that mirror the architectural magnificence of the era. The use of pearls in wall artworks and contemporary lighting gives the space a modern feel.

Upon entering the club, guests are met in the large foyer, which has a modern reception desk set against a backdrop of rustic marble. A magnificent parametric crystal chandelier cascades through the double-height room, connecting the reception area with the waiting lounge, representing Hyderabad’s gem industry.

The left wing of the foyer leads to an all-day eating restaurant with a bustling café. This section serves as the focal point of the club’s food and beverage options, which also include a speciality restaurant. The banquet facilities are to the right, each approximately 10,000 to 12,000 square feet in size, and are supplemented by a huge grass that can be accessed via a dedicated drop-off area. At the end of the vast foyer, where contemporary archways inspired by Nizami architecture give a sense of regal grandeur and welcome, guests can relax and revitalise in a luxurious spa.

The club’s décor incorporates Hyderabadi traditional aspects including Kalamkari art and block printing. This motif continues to the guest rooms, which include luxurious materials and curved parametric headboards inspired by the city’s semi-precious stone industry.

The upper floors offer a business lounge, conference rooms, and a modern gym that corporate members can use on a daily basis. It additionally features a large bar, which is ideal for informal parties and quiet discussions. The upper floor features an indoor sports and children’s activities area, creating a completely inclusive leisure zone.

Tennis courts, volleyball courts, a multipurpose football pitch and a box cricket area are among the outdoor facilities that combine pleasure and sport. The design team meticulously built and re-landscaped the architectural limits, successfully transforming the entire area into a sumptuous refuge – a true masterpiece.

The main materials used in the design are stone, metal, and glass, all chosen to express the club’s ideal of elegance and longevity. The intelligent blending of these materials elevates the club’s visual appeal, establishing 17 Degrees North Club as a premium landmark in Hyderabad.
