Cara Cara rooftop elegance with serene design

Cara Cara stands out as a mesmerising rooftop sanctuary, transforming Hyderabad’s nightlife through a fusion of natural inspiration and contemporary design. Conceived by ARA Design and completed in February 2024, this 6,000 sqft hospitality jewel offers more than just a bar experience—it provides a harmonious retreat where every detail reflects the dynamic essence of the city.

Despite Hyderabad’s bustling IT district, Cara Cara is a serene sanctuary where urban sophistication and natural tranquillity coexist. Under the visionary direction of Principal Architect Amey Dahanukar, ARA Design created this 6,000-square-foot rooftop bar in February 2024, emphasising creative design and the art of lounging in style. The bar is meant to blend in with its surroundings and elevate the city’s nightlife.

Cara Cara welcomes guests into a world where every element inspires a sense of fluidity and movement as soon as they walk through its doors. The design draws inspiration from Hyderabad’s rocky terrain and natural formations. It blends seamlessly with the cityscape while providing panoramic vistas and a peaceful atmosphere that appeals to city explorers and night owls.

Amey Dahanukar had a precise idea when he designed the area, which was formerly popular for nightlife. His goal was to create a sanctuary that would reflect Hyderabad’s multiculturalism. “We aimed to create an iconic rooftop experience,” Amey explains, “where architecture dances with nature, encouraging relaxation and conversation.”

Cara Cara’s interior design is a refined fusion of urban chic and natural textures. A calming colour scheme of muted tones accentuates the warm, earthy base created by the natural wood and sandstone. Soft, indirect lighting highlights the cityscape beyond and accentuates architectural elements, evoking a tropical escape.

The captivating feature of Cara is a beautiful wooden construction that flows smoothly into the ceiling, like the effect of a water droplet. This centrepiece, made of birch plywood and has a parametric wave pattern, captures the eye and represents the fluidity that distinguishes the area. Every component, from specially made furniture to abundant indoor plants, is carefully chosen to improve comfort and beauty.

Although carrying out an ambitious design came with difficulties, especially when preserving the design while it was being built, ARA Design handled these issues deftly. As a result, every area of Cara Cara welcomes visitors to stay and relax, creating a flawless fusion of form and function.
