Neha Gupta’s, Designer & Chief of Operations, Beyond Designs; latest project in the city of lakes and palaces, Udaipur, is a reflection of modern and sophisticated palatal living surrounded by uniquely rich and intricate details, art and craft.
Spread across 7,500 sq. ft, the apartment demonstrates flamboyant strokes – bold wallpapers, extravagant lights, a vibrant and deep colour palette, elaborate wall and ceiling decorations, large artworks, etc. Also, perfectly crafted pillars, exquisite partition screens and bespoke furniture pieces that celebrate Beyond Designs’ signature style create a timeless glamour that is simply captivating.
The main living area on the second floor features an entrance lobby, a formal living and dining, an informal living area, a powder room, master suite comprising a living area, dressing room and two bathrooms – one of them being a powder room – and two bedrooms for kids which also include dressers and bathrooms.
The top most floor houses the lift lobby, the terrace bar and lounge, a pergola through which you can access a massage room and a powder room. At the entrance lobby, you are welcomed by a grand spectacle with a sunken ceiling decorated with mirrors, reflecting and enhancing the grey-and-white flooring in an exciting geometric pattern, a vibrant painting on the wall opposite, and a glorious chandelier. The console table and the chairs showcase the typical Beyond Designs style of layered details and immaculate finishes. Contemporary style seating in the formal living area is complemented with some classical touches in the table lamp, the wall art and a show-stopper coffee table clad in mirrors. Though done up mostly in a neutral tone, colours from the cushions, the table lamp and upholstery add a bright and delightful touch.
A softly curved arch separates the living from the dining, with a bold wallpaper adorning the dining area. A bespoke, custom designed chandelier adds an exaggerated sense of style to the dining area comprising a marble inlay table and elegant upholstered chairs, with the head chairs adding more colour and panache with a two-tone upholstery – plain fabric on the inside and exotic prints on the outside.
The master bedroom is furnished with a gleaming four-poster bed made of brass and classical crystal wall sconces against the quaint backdrop of cane panelled walls. The adjoining living area is a warm and delightful space with wooden panelling on the walls and a series of colourful paintings of flora. The kids’ bedrooms are elegant with a smattering of colours, textures and interesting artworks and accessories.
The terrace bar is a stunningly glamorous place with an exquisite bar counter in blackand-white striped marble and a mirror-covered base with brass highlights. The chic leather bar stools complement the setting perfectly. The decorative ceiling in a dark shade and black flooring add to the allure of the bar, while the cluster of pendant lights adds a dazzling note.
The bar lounge again is conceived in a dark shade with a statement black-and-white inlay coffee table and stylish accent chairs, wall art and twin crystal chandeliers.
The terrace powder room enchants with a delicate chandelier and the intricately crafted tiles adding a quaint charm. The terrace thus becomes a venue for decadent entertainment and fun.
