A start-up office space reflecting creativity and innovation

Designing the workspace for the young start-up focused on spatial and experiential design; the design philosophy aimed to create an atmosphere that reflected their aesthetics, values, and branding colours. The highly creative designer client saw the space as the starting point for her aesthetic exploration. With this in mind, Mirages Azul was designed as an office that reflects the essence of the start-up and fosters an environment conducive to creativity.
The neutral concrete floors and walls greet you as a calming foundation, like a blank canvas waiting to be filled. Sunlight streams through large windows, accentuating every curve, shadow, and reflection, giving the space a dynamic presence. The contrast between raw industrial elements (polished concrete and clean lines) and bold, unconventional furniture creates depth and intrigue.
A striking chair made of cylindrical metallic tubes is more than just seating; it is a sculptural centrepiece that challenges traditional office furniture expectations. Its sleek, robotic form challenges conventional wisdom, while a fluid, organic desk enhances it with its dynamic presence. The desk’s deep blue glass base creates a striking contrast against the smooth tabletop, adding layers of texture that encourage interaction.
The glossy sapphire-blue partition wall in the office serves as a structured counterpoint to the fluid furniture. Reflective glass blocks capture the shifting light, creating a sophisticated yet playful atmosphere. This rich blue hue complements the start-up’s vibrant identity, and the grid-like tile arrangement adds a subtle sense of order to the creative chaos.
The ceiling, which is adorned with fragmented, mirrored metal panels, is the focal point. This shimmering, dynamic installation evokes images of shattered reflections or a reimagined night sky. It encapsulates the start-up’s bold, forward-thinking philosophy as if every detail reflects the limitless potential of the work taking place below.
Every design element in Mirages Azul is outstanding, blurring the line between art and function. It is more than just an office; it is a creative incubator where innovation is encouraged and necessary.
