Aria, located in Koregaon Park, Pune, is a 10,000-square-foot home that combines modern minimalism with timeless heritage. Designed for a Kolhapur-based family of three, it provides a luxurious yet easy-to-maintain retreat adorned with vintage elements. Every corner reflects the family’s love for tradition while also embracing modern elegance.
The journey starts with a foyer that exudes understated opulence. A grey forest-themed wallpaper sets a serene tone, which is enhanced by grand white wingback chairs and a golden statement table adorned with fresh florals. To the left, a pristine white temple with Jodhpur marble jaalis and golden floral detailing exudes tranquilly, a modern take on sacred architecture.
The living room’s double-height ceiling emphasises grandeur. Warm golden-upholstered sofas sit on a vintage carpet, and a statement metal chandelier casts an ethereal glow over ivory-accented furniture with intricate Indian motifs. The dining area adjoins this space and is a work of art. A marble table with gold inlays is paired with arched ivory-and-gold chairs, and a mirrored chest of drawers is framed by regal wallpaper. The adjacent island kitchen, furnished in grey and white, strikes a balance between style and efficiency.
Bedrooms are accessible via a subtly panelled corridor. The master bedroom has a half-panelled wall with nature-inspired wallpaper, a plush lounge chair, and a modern dresser. A walk-in wardrobe with an additional dresser provides plenty of storage, and the en-suite bathroom exudes warmth with beige and dark brown tones. The second bedroom, which features a four-poster bed and rattan-finish wardrobes, embraces earthy tones, while the daughter’s room adds pops of colour with nature-inspired wardrobe inlays. The fourth bedroom, with its striking brown stone accent and olive-green bathroom, exudes tranquillity.
The den is a stylish retreat, complete with leather couches, a wooden centre table and a bar area with green leather swivel chairs. The bathroom has golden floral detailing that combines modern and vintage elements. The sunlit terrace, which features a marble-finish table and a cascading fountain, provides a peaceful retreat.
Aria efficiently balances modernity and tradition, practicality and artistry. With its neutral palette and intricate details, it tells the story of evolving architecture, personal passions, and familial bonds—a timeless yet forward-thinking refuge.
