Perched on the 53rd floor of Crescent Bay in Parel, Vintage Vista seamlessly blends modern luxury with vintage charm. Designed by Ridhi Agarwal and Parikshat Hemrajani of Hipcouch, this 1600-square-foot apartment transforms a standard 3 BHK into a bespoke one-bedroom plus study, maximising space while embracing artistic heritage and contemporary design.
The homeowner, Bijou George, envisioned a home exuding warmth, character, and a deep connection to artisanal traditions. Inspired by South India’s Chettinad architecture, the interiors incorporate intricate detailing, traditional materials, and a harmonious interplay of textures and colours. Every element, from the carved niches inspired by Rajasthani mud houses to carefully placed canvases, enriches the space with historical significance.
The master bedroom offers a serene retreat, featuring a four-poster bed to capture uninterrupted sea views. The adjacent study, designed for intellectual pursuits, integrates a desk that minimises screen glare while offering an inspiring vista. A floor-to-ceiling bookshelf is a functional and aesthetic centrepiece, reflecting the homeowner’s literary interests.
The living area is adaptable, featuring sliding glass doors that create an open entertaining space or a secluded reading nook. A strategically placed chaise longue enhances the room’s versatility, offering an ideal spot for reflection. The dark-wood finished kitchen, with an expansive breakfast counter, doubles as a bar, providing unobstructed skyline and sea views.
